Students in our 9 and 10 Arts class have been learning about documentary genres and filming techniques across Term 3 to prepare for producing their very own mockumentary in Term 4. Therefore, the Archibull Prize provided the perfect opportunity for these students to put their learning into practise through the creation of their very own interview with our very own Young Farming Champion, Martin Murray.
Year 9 and 10 students: Gayleen Lawrence, Tameeka Luther, Kelly Shade, Bronwyn Pedracini and Meg Burge have focussed on capturing interview footage using a range of camera angles and framing. Students have also incorporated their own sound with a song written and performed by Lacey Marshall and humour with an animation which features a cockroach and some of our own students cast as cane toads! Year 10 student, Rhys Donaldson has edited the footage to conclude the production.

Congratulations to all students involved and thank you Martin for providing an interesting subject and perspective.
